I thought I would show you some samples of the beautiful artwork my students have produced in my various ‘Enjoy Painting’ Art Classes, throughout the communities of Co.Antrim, Northern Ireland.

At all my cross-community classes, I always encourage each student to enjoy painting the subject matter of their choice and challenge themselves with colour mixing and drawing skills. Students are able to use whatever painting medium they wish in my classes, even experimenting with various mediums! ………… How else do you discover your favourite medium!

So here are a few photos of my students at work ……. and their finished artwork!

Do you have an ‘Old & Rusty Grandfather Clockface’ ……… LLCrafts at Galgorm, Ballymena can restore it for you back to its former beauty!

Artist Louise Lester (BA Hons) can paint any beautiful design on a customer’s clockface, producing a perfectly unique and bespoke item in all its glory! Even if the old clockface is rusty and aged, bring it along and see it transformed.

All types of clockfaces can be restored, including this bespoke decorated sample of a ‘Moon Dial’ Clockface. The beautiful detailing of the numerals around the top curve and the delicate ‘world globe maps’ along the top edge, helps to display the ‘Moon Dial’ movement of this clockface.

Another beautiful example of Louise’s work is this ‘Steam Train’ commissioned clockface. The important aspect of this particular order was the quaint steam engine train scene, which the customer wished to be brought ‘back to life’ and brightened up. The scene was then complimented with lovely delicate corner flowers, to finish the design.

As you can see, the degree of damage and rust on this clockface before restoration was quite severe, however when fully restored the end painted result is refreshingly elegant.

‘Daisy’
For this demo I showed how you can create a beautiful subtle textured background to a simple painting, by using various mark-making techniques!
It was great fun and very simple to do, and gave the delicate ‘Daisy’ a lovely backdrop!

It was fantastic completing this lovely order for ‘Bed and Breakfast’ Door Plaques …….. painted onto nicely cut slate. It was wonderful that LLCrafts was able to aid the Northern Ireland tourism trade of the very welcoming ‘Pinegrove Lodge’ ……. with beautiful door signs to enhance their interior rooms.

This friendly customer requested two door plaques-  ‘Guest Bedroom’ accompanied by an illustrated bed image …….. and for the comfort of their accommodation customers, a lovely ‘Relax’ sign with a cosy armchair painted image! Perfect for the use of their staying guests!

The slate signs were beautifully finished with my trademark soft brown-edged splay and roped ready for easy hanging or attachment to a door.

If you own a ‘B&B’ or ‘Hotel’ or ‘Self-Catering Cottage’ or any type of accommodation available for the general public to enjoy a break-away ……… my beautifully hand-painted ‘Door Signs’ are ideal for enhancing your business.
