Irish Artist Louise Lester – Donated ‘Tullygarley Bridge’ Paintings

Paintings By NI Artist Louise Lester Donated to ‘Tullygarley Community’ Ballymena

‘Old & New’- ‘Tullygarley Bridge’ LLCrafts Painting Donations

Back in 2009, in the small village of Tullygarley, just outside Ballymena, Northern Ireland the community’s old ‘Tullygarley Bridge’ was demolished and replaced by a new modern bridge. This was a huge change to the small village, and being a local artist from Galgorm, running ‘Weekly Art Painting Classes’ in the village I decided to paint the old and new bridges, frame them and donate them to the ‘Tullygarley Community Centre’. The paintings are now on display in the centre for all to admire and remember an important element of their community.

Since my painting donations, the ‘Tullygarley Residents Committee’ commissioned me for a further two sets of my paintings, to be displayed in the ‘The Braid’ Town Hall in Ballymena and to ‘FP McCann’ (constructors of the new bridge.) This was a wonderful addition to my story and I hope all the paintings are bringing enjoyment to everyone who views them.
